We have cabins to rent that are perfect to use as a sleepout, granny flat, home office space, or site office. Rentable Spaces rent-a-cabins are available throughout the Lower North Island, from Whanganui to the Wairarapa including Wellington and the Hutt Valley.
Rentable cabin construction
Our portable rental cabins are prefabricated buildings that can be dropped at your place, connected to services, and moved in to straight away. They are an excellent option for Kiwis looking for an extra room with full bathroom and kitchenette facilities. Having these facilities means you have a space than can be used independently to your house or the premises where the cabin is located. Our cabins to rent are fully insulated, including floor, external walls, ceiling, and double-glazed windows. The construction of the buildings also means no draughts. This means they are easy to heat in winter, cool in summer and comfortable all year round.
All our cabins are constructed by a licensed Building Practitioner.
Cabin sizes
We offer two sizes of self-contained cabins to rent, to give you a choice of how much extra space you get and to suit how many people are going to be living that space. They both feature an ensuite bathroom, and a kitchenette to make them as functional and liveable as possible.

Is a cabin for rent right for you?
There are a few things that you need if you are thinking about getting a self-contained cabin to rent.
You need a flat area the right size and suitable to drop a cabin on to.
You also need someone lined up to connect services to the cabin, including a water connection and a sewage connection. Gas bottles are needed to run the hot water system, and we supply an x15m long extension cable to connect your cabin to a standard household power point.
That’s it!
What about delivery and removal?
We can deliver cabins to rent right across the lower North Island from Wellington up to Whanganui on the west coast and Wairarapa on the east.
We remotely check out access to your site, and give you a quote for delivery, including dropping your rental cabin into place.
We deliver the cabin, position it, and then all you have to do is connect it up to services.
When you don’t need the extra space anymore, disconnect the building from the services, give us a call and we’ll come and take your rental cabin away.
If you need to rent a space that is more basic, we have other portable buildings that are perfect as sleepouts, studios or basic office space.
